Dan Baldwin has exhibited alongside Banksy, Antony Micallef, Jamie Hewlett, Jamie Reid, Tracey Emin, Julian Opie, Peter Blake and Vic Reeves, among many others. He graduated in Illustration / Communication Media in 1995 from Maidstone School of Art after a stint at the Eastbourne College of Art. His work deals with topics such as innocence, life-death, vanitas, love, politics and symbolism. The collecting of “real” elements has always been an important part of the layering process, and in the past he has used real Iraq and U.S. currency, vintage crucifixes and real bullets in his work. Although primarily a painter, Baldwin produces ceramics and sculpture. His work is internationally celebrated, championed and collected by an exclusive clientele. Baldwin has exhibited his paintings, prints and ceramics around the world. He has enjoyed a stream of critically lauded sell-out solo shows and presented his work in art fairs in Basel, Miami, L.A, Tokyo, San Francisco, London and New York. Baldwin has become a solid fixture at auction houses in recent years. He set a personal record at Bonhams in February, 2008 when his piece Apocalypse Wow – The End of Everything sold for over £25,000.
