Spanish-based artist Hyuro, best known for her large street drawings in black and white adeptness, visited recently Denmark for a new solo show. For almost a month, Hyuro worked on what appears to be the largest mural in Copenhagen, (some 271 metre long wall). Named In/Between, the piece features the delicate but progressive transformation (battle of the opposites) of an elk, moving away from the light, into the dark, to the light again. To quote the artist: “In the battle of opposites, nobody wins and nobody loses. It’s just a cycle, just another one. A deer runs and disappears in the trees, the forest devouring it in its branches. You can’t win the race against time. The night will come first and bring its darkness, but Copenhagen can sleep peacefully. The sun will rise again in the morning and the deer will continue along his way...'' We are blown away by this piece. Have a look for yourself...
