Invader - A new invasion

23 Jul 2016

The french artist has 3345 invaders over 66 cities. His latest destination is Toulouse, with 10 characters around the city. Known as La Ville Rose because of the pink terra-cotta brick used on many of the buildings, each scout emulates the pink tones.

The self-defined UFA, Unidentified Free Artist, had an extraordinary auction result last month at Philips in London. ALIAS MIA_53, ceramic tiles on plastic, estimated between £6,000 - £8,000, sold for an incredible £18,750!

Followed by Alias LDN-34 being estimated between £5,500 - £8,600 and realising from £13,300 at SBI Art Auction less than a month later!

Wandering the streets of London, you can find 150 mosaics. The most recent invasion happened in April this year. The hunt is on for 12 new, wonderfully British invaders wearing bowler hats and pints of beer.
