Hang-Up Gallery are proud to present The Connor Brother’s new exhibition Wondrous Obsessions: The Art of Collecting. The exhibition is the third instalment of their much loved Museum of Curiosity shows, which combine art with natural history, scientific objects, antiquities, and artworks. The Connor Brothers have commissioned a select group of internationally acclaimed artists to make works specifically for the exhibition. These include; Butch Anthony, Candice Tripp, Dr. Victor Schroeder, Giles Walker, Joe Webb, John Henry Toney, Laura Keeble, Mark Powell, Motion Paper Project and Swoon.  "We have created a series of traditional cabinets of curiosity that we hope will allow people to recapture a childlike sense of wonder and curiosity at the extraordinary world we live in’"

The Connor Brothers The Connor Brothers

The Connor Brothers first entered the art scene as American twins brought up within an extremist Christian cult known as 'The Family.' At sixteen the twins escaped to Brooklyn where they began creating artworks in order to make sense of the world they had been deprived of. However, in October 2014 these characters were revealed as a myth and art dealers Mike Snelle and James Golding exposed themselves as The Connor Brothers. The revelation of their identity has seen a huge increase in sales with their work having been sold alongside the likes of Banksy, Andy Warhol, Jeff Koons and Tracey Emin at Christie’s, Bonhams and Phillips. The duo has participated in several thought-provoking and exciting projects, including Pussy Riot’s performance at Banksy’s Dismaland.
