Ever wanted to fall down the rabbit hole? Enter the world of Nina Saunders, where armchairs melt to the ground, deers wait at the salon and teacups are too heavy to lift.Above: From left to right, Love the Jobs You Hate, First Class and Have You Seen My Keys by Nina Saunders.
Saunders is a multi-media Danish artist who lives and works in London, and is known for her uncanny sculptural transformations of reclaimed furniture. By meticulously manipulating and distorting the shapes of her found materials she turns each previously owned household item into a redundant object. Her ambitious creations are not only extremely witty, but also boast an elegant and mysterious character.
