Can Hockney’s market keep up with the demand?
Hi,

In light of Sotheby’s dedicated auction earlier this month, it’s clear that this is a pivotal moment for the Hockney market. Confidence, stability, and long-term trajectory were all affirmed on 17 October 2025 at The David Hockney Sale: The Arrival of Spring, an event that underscored the artist’s enduring power to engage collectors and command global attention.

The Arrival of Spring in Woldgate, East Yorkshire in 2011 (twenty eleven) - 19 February sold for an outstanding £762,000, and the whole series of 17 prints, amounting to £6,210,300.

Dive into our latest editorial to get a run-down of the auction and the positive effects it will have on the Hockney market.

If you have any questions, do let me know, and I would be happy to assist you.

Best,
