An end of year message from our founder ||
Into Our 18th Year:
A Founder’s Note

The year has gone scarily fast; it’s hard to believe that as I write this we’re already near the end.

For us, as an independent gallery, 2025 has felt more optimistic than this time last year. The first few months were shaped by all the tariff dramas and the associated lack of sales, but I’m pleased to say the mood really turned in the final quarter, with a clear surge in collector interest. Enquiries came in thick and fast and, as the gallery heads into it’s eighteenth year of trading, the overall momentum feels genuinely positive.

A quick snapshot from the last 12 months: we processed more than 250 orders to collectors across more than 30 countries worldwide, with particularly strong engagement from the US, Europe and Asia. It’s also been encouraging to feel Banksy interest picking up again with nearly 50 sales over the year to date and a notably stronger final quarter and again a welcome return of our international buyers.

On the artist side, a standout moment was our sell-out show with Kostas Papakostas, followed by the sell-out of his first limited-edition print release published by the gallery. Looking ahead, I’m excited to share that we’ll be adding British painter Alex Russell-Flint to our artist roster from 2026, kicking off with a group show in Spring 2026.

As we close the doors for the holidays, we’re allowing ourselves some much-needed downtime to reset and come back energised. A big thank you to my Hang-Up team especially Charlotte, Laura, Madeleine and Sophie and for their hard work, professionalism, and commitment in sailing us through the year.

Have a lovely Christmas, and all the best for 2026.
