On 17 October 2025, Sotheby’s hosted its first dedicated live sale of The Arrival of Spring series, achieving £6.2 million and setting record prices across the series.

The Yosemite Suite 13 (2010) comes from his museum-exhibited digital landscape period, a body of work that is highly sought after by collectors and for which there is consistent demand on the secondary market.

Swimming Pools have been an iconic subject matter featuring in Hockney's oeuvre when he moved to LA in the 1960's. It still stands that his most expensive auction record is Portrait of an Artist (Pool with Two Figures) (1972), which sold for over $90 million in 2019.
