We are delighted to present Crelo Cielito (2007), an exceptional early work by renowned Cuban-American artist José Parlá.

Parlá’s distinctive calligraphic abstraction is deeply rooted in the visual language of the city - his layered compositions echo the weathered textures of urban walls, capturing the energy and history embedded in their surfaces.

Crelo Cielito, created 18 years ago, is a testament to his mastery of gestural mark-making and his ability to bridge fine art with urban culture. This rich and textured original is sold professionally framed and available for £11,500.

If you would like to make an offer or have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out and I would be happy to help.

Best wishes,

A return to his practice

His most recent solo show Homecoming at Pérez Art Museum Miami opened in November 2024. It was a depiction deeply rooted in the artist's personal journey and a homage to his native home of Miami. More importantly, it was a celebration of his return to his practice after enduring a 4-month induced coma after contracting Covid-19.
