Gangsta Rat is part of Banksy’s ‘Rat’ series and one of his most iconic images. The rats are seen taking on many personas, which could be portrayed as a representation of the working class. An original was sprayed on the side of Moorfields eye hospital in London in 2006. The work was later sold at auction with the proceeds donated to the research of eye treatment.
