This week’s highlight from Hang-Up Curates XI brings into focus a selection of muses by Rusty.

The artist has had a fascination with colour and texture from an early age, something that continues to inform her practice. In this collection, she works with soft, neutral palettes, contrasted by bolder tones in the clothing and her signature rosy cheeks.

Rusty finds inspiration in everyday moments: an expression, a gesture, a particular posture, or even a pattern in clothing. These small, familiar details are what shape each composition.
