As May draws to a close, we’re reflecting on an exciting month at Hang-Up.
We began with the launch of In Flux by Kostas Papakostas—his first solo exhibition in London. Exploring themes of distortion, surrender and transformation, Papakostas invites viewers to slow down and look closer. The response has been fantastic—thank you to everyone who came along. Our edition Echoes of Motion has now sold out, but a small number of original paintings remain available - you can view these here.
We’re also delighted to welcome Mark Vessey to the gallery. Known for his striking, typographic portraits of record collections, Vessey’s work captures the spirit of cultural moments through design and identity. We’re pleased to be showing exclusive works from the series, including Carl and Fabric.
Banksy continues to make his mark. Alongside the appearance of a new mural, we’ve introduced key works to our collection this month, including a Girl with Balloon - Unsigned and Sale Ends V2 - Signed.
Finally, we have some fresh new works by Bridget Riley. Her carefully composed optical studies remain as compelling as ever—full of energy, movement and clarity.
If you missed anything, we’ve gathered this month’s highlights below.
