Max Ernst

Derrick Adams – Woman and Man in Grayscale Diptych

Woman and Man in Grayscale Diptych

This diptych by Derrick Adams was created in 2017, for the Brooklyn Artists Ball honouring Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz, who are big collectors of his art.

Joe Webb

The Brighton-based artist originally began working with collage as a reaction to his computer-focused graphic design job. Turning away from the screen, he revelled in the simplicity of using two or three print images to create totally new worlds.

"I like the ability to ‘remix’ found images. It’s similar to when I produced music years ago, finding old records to sample and reinvent into a new idea. I usually find my materials in antique shops and bookstores."

Joe Webb in conversation with Hang-Up, 2021

Bonnie and Clyde

Steph Burnley's mixed-media collages and screenprints of imagined cityscapes harness the soothing power of Californian colours, 1950s typography, modern architecture and plenty of house plants and umbrellas. Her latest originals exemplify just that.

Sir Peter Blake – Appearing at the Royal Albert Hall

Appearing at the Royal Albert Hall

‘Appearing at the Royal Albert Hall’ is comprised of over 400 stars that have appeared at this iconic site since 1871. Sir Peter Blake created the original piece in 2014 for the refurbished Zvi and Ofra Meita Porch and Foyer at Door 12 of the Hall which spans almost 10ft.

"I would tear posters off walls, pick up cigarette packets and matchboxes and keep wrestling tickets. I like the idea of fragments.”

Peter Blake

Swoon – Zahra

Zahra

A unique variant based on the iconic Zahra image, the piece consists of paper collaged onto found wood to form a backing onto which the paper-cut image is applied. Like many of Swoon's images, the piece is adorned with scraps and free-cut paper forms pulled from her travels and studio work.
