Enter the world of contemporary artist, KAWS, in this virtually curated viewing room.

‘When I was doing graffiti, my whole thought was, “I just want to exist.” I want to exist with this visual language in the world… It meant nothing to me to make paintings if I wasn’t reaching people.’

Record-Breaking Sales

Record-Breaking Sales

The New-York based street artist has seen his star in both the art and the commercial world grow exponentially over the years.

KAWS broke auction records several times, most notably when he shattered all of his previous records when the painting 'The KAWS Album' reached an impressive £11.3 million at Sotheby's auction last year.

The Brooklyn Museum has recently confirmed a major retrospective that will chronicle the artist's work over a 25-year span, opening in February 2021, adding yet another landmark to KAWS' history of highly successful exhibitions across the globe.

KAWS x Brooklyn Museum

KAWS x Brooklyn Museum

Untitled (KAWS x Brooklyn Museum)

Produced in conjunction with the 2019 Brooklyn Museum Family Party fundraiser, each of these colourful screen prints is unique and handmade.

The designs were selected by KAWS from ‘outtakes’ from his previous screen prints, cut down to small crops and edited to create these rare and collectable unique works.

“For the past few years whenever I worked on print editions after everything was done I would take some of the outtakes and cut them down to small crops from the original prints. I usually give these to friends for different occasions with packages I send them. This time I decided to make a small edit of the best ones and sign and stamp them as part of the BROOKLYN MUSEUM FAMILY PARTY X KAWS FUNDRAISER."

Holiday Plate Set (Grey)

The ‘Holiday Plate Set’ was produced in conjunction with the first KAWS exhibition in Australia, KAWS: Companionship In The Age Of Loneliness at the National Gallery of Victoria. Displaying more than 100 works, the show was a comprehensive survey and a celebration of 25 years of KAWS’s oeuvre.

From major public art pieces, to augmented reality apps to fashion collaborations, there are very few projects art superstar KAWS hasn't put his creative hands on.

Entering the world of AR with a groundbreaking project

Augmented and virtual reality have infiltrated the art world more and more, and KAWS has embraced the technology on different occasions.

KAWS unveiled his first-ever VR project at the New York Public Library in 2017.
More recently, he has partnered with Acute Art to create a collection of augmented reality companions, to be enjoyed from the comfort of your mobile screen.
