Artist Statement
"There is something utterly magical when small birds appear, their delight in life is apparent with every movement, their song is one of the most incredible sounds we are blessed to hear and every time it is as beautiful as the last, never ever to be taken for granted, like life itself.
Following on from the Mice, it is the continuation of seeing the beauty and priceless quality of life, which seems to be even more poignant the smaller the subjects become.
It is this fragility, beauty and movement that I am depicting in these works, trying to capture life itself and present it as wondrous as it is."
