An artist who needs no introduction
Hang-Up Gallery

Breaking traditions and being a pioneer throughout his career, David Hockney, without a doubt, is one of the most important artists of the 20th Century. In 2018, Hockney's Portrait of an Artist (Pool With Two Figures) held the record for the most expensive artwork sold at auction by a living artist, reaching over $90 million.

Today we have a beautiful piece from an edition of just 25. Striped Mug is a fantastic, colourful example of Hockney's exploration using an iPad to create intuitive collections over the last decade.

Please note, this email has been sent to collectors and those who have expressed interest in Hockney so you have first access ahead of general release next week.

If this is of interest, please do not hesitate to get in touch.

David Hockney

One of Britain’s best-loved artists swapped Yorkshire for Los Angeles back in 1964, and has been painting its swimming pools, palm trees and shopping streets ever since (returning sporadically to render swathes of Yorkshire countryside and magnetic portraits in beguiling oils). The subject of regular retrospectives at London’s best galleries, Hockney has works in many of the world’s major collections thanks to the huge appeal of his paintings, iPad drawings and photography.
