Fresh to the gallery: Banksquiat (Black) - Signed
This work is a homage to Basquiat as well as celebrating the democratic art of graffiti, which Banksy sees as threatened by capitalism and consumerism.
The Basquiat ferris wheel seems to represent the relentless cycle of capitalism. It questions the persistent commodification of Basquiat and his works in recent times whilst also, through intentional irony, adding to this commodification.
The piece is accompanied by a Pest Control COA.
