Banksy

Scarcely seen on the market, Hang-Up Gallery can now offer you the opportunity to acquire a CCCP (Love Is In the Air). This is a very rare and early Banksy print with just a few said to have been printed.

Banksy's powerful anti-war image overlays the letters CCCP; the acronym for Союз Советских Социалистических Республик (Union of Soviet Socialist Republics) in Russian. The man in the balaclava, is seemingly about to throw an explosive but instead grips a bunch of flowers in a symbolic appeal for peace to replace violence.

Accompanied by a Pest Control certificate of authenticity, CCCP (Love Is In The Air) is one not to be missed.

One of Banksy’s most iconic and most sought-after works of art

Love is in the Air, also known as Flower Thrower, was a large stencilled piece of graffiti that appeared in 2003 following the building of the West Bank Wall in Jerusalem which stretches some 750km and separates Palestine from Israel.
