First access to the solo show
Hang-Up Gallery

It is with great pleasure to introduce our upcoming solo show by esteemed British artist and inventor of ‘reverspective’, Patrick Hughes.

To mark 60 years since his inaugural London exhibition, the new show entitled: The Perspective Paradox will showcase a selection of original, three-dimensional reverse perspective paintings, a method that has gained him notoriety all over the world.

Collected by some of the biggest institutions across the world including the Victoria & Albert Museum, UK The Baker Museum, US, The Würth Museum, Germany, Tate Modern, UK and the British Council; Hughes’ reverspectives will likely become a significant topic in future art history.

Working throughout lockdown, this new body of work celebrates his innovative style that has stood the test of time.

As a VIP you have first access to the catalogue, ahead of public release next week, and I would like to personally invite you to the private view on Thursday 28th October.

Patrick’s paintings are quite simply a master-class in visual illusion. When looking at them your body tells you one thing and your eyes another, creating a kind of weird moving experience.
