'Lovers Grave' at White Cube, New york
Tracey Emin
Returns to America
1

Tracey Emin returns to America after eight years with her inaugural solo exhibition, “Lovers Grave,” at White Cube's New York gallery.

This exhibition is indicative of her exploration of the human experience and the parallels between suffering and joy. In "Lovers Grave" she draws from archaeological burial sites where human remains have been found forever entwined in an embrace. This shows both the comfort of love and the tragedy of death and how the immortalised embrace of love might be able to transcend the finality of death.

With the National Portrait Gallery doors earlier this year and now the New York solo show, Emin is at the peak of her success, making her works an excellent investment.
