Geometric Abstraction: Celebrating Bridget Riley's 93rd Birthday

This celebration coincides with Riley's 93rd birthday on April 24.

Bridget Riley is considered such an important figure in the art world due to her pioneering the Op Art movement. Op Art uses optical illusions and geometric patterns to create works that play with the viewer's perception. Riley's innovative use of lines, shapes, and colours created mesmerising visual effects that captivated the audience.
