Napalm uses the depiction of nine-year-old Kim Phuc running from the horror of a Napalm blast, as captured by Nick Ut during the Vietnam War.

Banksy juxtaposes the screaming girl with grinning portrayals of Ronald McDonald and Mickey Mouse who are leading her away.

This contrast between a suffering child of war and two American icons of consumerism shows Banksy’s critique of the military-industrial complex, linking violent conflict and capitalism.

We are offering this piece to a limited selection of people before we present it to the wider public.
