Banksy
Barcode, unsigned
Released in 2004, this print edition is one of many works that utilise the barcode motif: Banksy also put it to good use on images featuring sharks, zebras, robots and tanks. Our numbered copy is available now.

GIANTS: Kikito by JR
A 70-foot photo of a toddler whose house overlooks the Mexican border fence was installed in Tecate back in 2017.

«Each time I’ve seen walls that have caught my attention, or that I’ve heard about a lot in the media, they would stick in my mind. I would even dream about it. When Trump started to talk a lot about a wall along the Mexican border, one day I woke up and saw a kid looking over the wall. I was wondering, What is this kid thinking? What would any kid think? We know that a one-year-old doesn’t have a political vision or any political point of view. He doesn’t see walls as we see them» JR

Tracey Emin
Tracey Emin

Emin’s Turner Prize-nominated unmade bed might have won her fame and notoriety as part of the YBA movement, but her poignant, autobiographical paintings, sculptures, photographs and installations have enduring appeal, winning her places in collections including the Tate Gallery in London and New York’s MoMA.

Inspired by Edvard Munch and Egon Schiele, Emin studied at the Royal Academy of Arts and has maintained a continuity in themes throughout her career, exploring gender and relationships with sometimes explicit imagery.
