Nancy Fouts – Ducklings in Glass Dome (Large)

Ducklings in Glass Dome (Large)

In her wickedly funny and surreal taxidermy sculptures, Nancy Fouts brings together instantly recognisable objects and juxtaposes them in unexpected situations by playing around with context and challenging preconceptions. The effect of surprise and humour is always present in her work.

Untitled (Vase)

Kruger began to perfect her signature style in the 1980s, using Futura Bold typeface to print aphorisms on black and white photographs; and later produce large scale public facades, architecturally driven wall wraps, multi-channel videos, images, and projects that blur the line between items and art objects. Her first vase continues her reversal of the appropriation of her work. Through this delicate object made from porcelain, imprinted with the words CULTURE and NATURE she is able to critique of the structures of power and the role of culture in a Capitalist consumerist society.

Adams set a new record high at Christie's auction in 2021 when "Figure in the Urban Landscape 31" sold for $250,000. The two-figure portrait of a father and daughter doubled the estimate of $100,000-$150,000. His previous high mark was set in 2018, when “Floater 48 (Unicorn)" sold for $81,250 at Sotheby’s auction.

The Connor Brothers – A Load of Fuss About Fuck All

A Load of Fuss About Fuck All

Described as the first piece of artwork that solidified the duo's artistic path, the idea for A Load Of Fuss About Fuck All came up in school when reading Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing and writing on the cover a contemporary version of the title. Twenty years later it became their first painting.

In early 2000 José Parlá discovered the art of ceramics, particularly the Bizen ware. The similarities between Parla’s use of rustic colours and ancient pottery techniques intrigued and inspired him to travel to Japan where he was introduced to working with clay for the first time by the Kimura family.

Jean-Michel Basquiat – Hollywood Africans in front of the Chinese Theater with Footprints of Movie Stars - AP

Hollywood Africans in front of the Chinese Theater with Footprints of Movie Stars - AP

The subject of the work memorialises a time when all three artists were in Los Angeles during Basquiat’s second exhibition at the Larry Gagosian Gallery. The work, a commentary on the stereotyping and marginalising of African Americans in the entertainment industry, led them to coin the term and refer to themselves as the “Hollywood Africans.”

Banksquiat (Grey) - Signed

Released in 2019 as part of Banksy’s Gross Domestic Product installation in Croydon town centre, Banksquiat is one of the last prints produced by Banksy to date. Featuring Basquiat’s trademark crowns as ferris wheel carriages, the original first appeared at the West Bank’s Walled-Off hotel before being recreated as a street work near the Barbican at the time of its exhibition, Boom For Real. The piece is described on the Gross Domestic Product website as 'cleverly questioning the relentless commodification of Basquiat in recent times – by crassly adding to the relentless commodification of Basquiat in recent times'.
