Fall down the rabbit hole with Hang-Up Gallery's latest 'Hang-Up Collections' Edition
About the show
Introducing the rotating exhibition 'Hang-Up Collections' Autumn Edition 2018. Alongside the anticipated launch of new artist Nina Saunders, expect to
see rare and original artworks by the likes of Banksy, Harland Miller, David Shrigley, Shepard Fairey and many more.
Hang-Up Gallery are delighted to officially introduce Nina Saunders to this Hang-Up Collections volume. Saunders is an acclaimed multi-media Danish artist
who lives and works in London. Best known for her uncanny sculptural transformations of reclaimed furniture created from various mediums including
textiles, leather and taxidermy, Saunders is a force to be reckoned with. By meticulously manipulating and distorting the shapes of her found materials
she turns each previously owned household appliance into a redundant object. Her ambitious creations are not only extremely quirky and humorous, but
also boast an elegant and mysterious character.
Hang-Up are honoured to be the only UK gallery currently exhibiting Saunders works. The artist has won several prestigious awards throughout her successful
career. To launch the show, Nina will be releasing her first limited edition print exclusively with Hang-Up Gallery this October. Ever wanted to fall
down the rabbit hole? Enter the world of Nina Saunders where armchairs melt to the ground, dears wait at the salon and teacups are too heavy to lift.
‘Hang-Up Collections’ promises a varied selection of vibrant originals and limited editions from some of the world's leading urban and contemporary names.
The revolving exhibition showcases brand new releases and exciting rare finds from the Hang-Up collection. Adopting a slightly unconventional approach
to the traditional exhibition format, new work is added and removed throughout the exhibition duration allowing it to evolve and change over the weeks.
