Otherwise known as Bomb Love, a version of this image appeared on a cardboard placard created by Banksy for London’s 2003 Anti War Demonstration, which was attended by an estimated 1.5 million people. Other renderings have appeared on walls in London and Brighton. In October 2020, an unsigned edition of the image reached more than six times it high estimate when it was was sold for £48,506 at an online auction held by Phillips.

The most famously anonymous artist in the world, Banksy made the front pages when he auto-shredded Girl With Balloon during a 2018 Sotheby's auction. Known for his thought-provoking social commentary, Banksy's varied works include the Walled Off Hotel (with its view of the West Bank barrier), cover art for Blur's Think Tank album, and a gigantic graffiti piece about Brexit, in the UK port of Dover.
