Vessey’s Fabric artwork commemorates the club’s legendary mix series—fabric and fabriclive—which ran from 2001 to 2018, capturing the sound of London’s most iconic club across 200 releases. Known for its uncompromising music policy and deep underground setting, fabric has been a global beacon of electronic music for 25 years. This work immortalises their instantly recognisable tin-case CDs, each curated by leading names in electronic music—from Ricardo Villalobos and Four Tet to LCD Soundsystem’s James Murphy. Shot in large-format detail, Vessey’s image reminds us of the physical culture we once held in our hands—tactile artefacts of nights never forgotten, now preserved for future generations of clubbers. As fabric co-founder Cameron Leslie put it, “It makes sense that the physical CD compilations of fabric are documented and celebrated.”
