Art For The Seasons
11 May 2023
Alas, this year must come to an end... but don't fret(!) we are going to take you through some of our most memorable moments so if you are sitting comfortably...
2017 has been a very exciting, politically active, art inspiring year! Kicking off with the inauguration of the President of United States of America. Some of our artists had something to say about that...!
Joe Webb Trumped - Sold out edition!
Shepard Fairey released powerful posters for We The People campaign inline with President Trump's inauguration.
Invader opened a show in Paris at Le Musee en Herbe - Hello, My Name is...
Hang-Up Gallery would not be the same if it was not for our gallery manager, Miss Carla Nizzola. This year saw her four-year anniversary! #WhatWouldWeDoWithOutYou...?
A very happy 4 year anniversary at Hang-Up to Miss Nizzola 🥂#hangup #gallerylife #whoruntheworld #wednesdaycrush #anniversary #london #gallerymanager #startedfromthebottom #biglove #thedream

Carla was our eyes on the ground in March when Banksy rocked our world with the opening of the 'Walled Off Hotel' in Palestine. Banksy caused total controversy, yet again, bringing the worlds gaze back to the West Bank in hope to bring tourism to the war-torn town of Bethlehem.

This has got to be up there with one of coolest moments this year. The ledgend Darryl McDaniels from Run DMC entered the building. Kicking off summer with solo show, The Art of DMC, live signing AND an intimate gig in our bunker with DJ Charlie Chan on the decks! Banksy took to the streets of London. "An 'unofficial' collaboration with the new Basquiat show."
Just days before the opening of Basquiat: Boom for Real show at the Barbican, two works appeared opposite each other in the tunnels under the Barbican Exhibition Halls.

The French street artist JR, transformed the border between Mexico and the USA with a giant smiling toddler peering over the wall. Highlighting the physical seperation, this installation brings a softness to the hard edge of Trumps promises.
