Leonardo Da Vinci was a very influential figure for Basquiat and he conspicuously referenced the Renaissance artist in his sketches and paintings. This set of prints were developed from an original oilstick and acrylic on acetate in five parts, editions of which are held in the permanent collections of the Museum of Modern Art, New York and the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles.
