I’ve annotated the text in italics to highlight the techniques record shops employ to get you interested enough in a particular release to play the sound clip.
Huge record for Peanut Butter Wolf recently. (If that dope DJ is blowing up the spot with this tune, I’m in). Original sells for £100+ if found. (This tune is super-rare and valuable – it must be sick!). Obscure (Perfect) 1985 North Carolina boogie/gospel/electro banger (I don’t recognise that genre but it sounds fucking tight!) filled with crazy bass synths, piano chords and rhythm machines (what are rhythm machines? I want a rhythm machine). Very proud we managed to put out this unique record. Few words from the man himself: "I was 32 years old when I did "Come Together", I recorded it in the studio in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA. It was my first studio project. I wrote it to reflect on how we all are God's creation and we all need each other no matter our skin color or background, we should love each other as God tells us to. I always wanted my music to go mainstream and worldwide to reach everyone. Shurfine gospel record company picked up my record and the rest is history…" (cool backstory, bro, I’ll take two).
