10 years ago in February 2015, Banksy returned to Palestine to create another series of works, following his famous 2005 series painted on the West Bank barrier wall 10 years prior to that.
The video linked below takes you on a tour of some of these works.
This is an artist-made film to go alongside the works, documenting the devastation.
Throughout his career, Banksy has conveyed his anti-war stance through his art and has repeatedly returned to comment on the situation in Palestine.
Two years after making this video, Banksy opened the Walled Off Hotel.
The Walled Off Hotel is a hotel in Bethlehem, Palestine, designed and financed by Banksy. It opened in 2017 and is located next to the Israeli West Bank barrier, which Banksy has described as having the "worst view of any hotel in the world."
This hotel was an artistic and political statement, it brought attention to the Israeli occupation while it also promoted Palestinian culture and tourism. It was a fully functional hotel where guests could stay and experience the reality of the West Bank firsthand.
Banksy's art can be seen to continue to reference the Palestinian conflict. Most recently, the 'goat' that appeared as the first of Banksy's London Zoo series has been suggested to represent a mountain gazelle, the national animal of Palestine.
