Another Banksy Removed

9 Feb 2025

The Banksy goat mural has been removed from a building in Kew Bridge. This work is added to a number of Banksy works from his London Zoo series that popped up throughout the capital during the summer of 2024 that have now been removed from where they once were.

This goat, or perhaps mountain gazelle, was the first of Banksy’s animal series mural spree that took over London last summer, and it had been covered with Perspex for protection shortly after it appeared.

The owners, Boss & Co., have stated that the piece was removed for refurbishment works “essential for the long-term future of the property” and that once the redevelopment is complete, they will explore options for its future display.

They appointed the Fine Art Restoration Company—who has been working with Banksy’s works for over 12 years—for the removal and conservation of the mural.

In a statement, the restoration company said: “The owners recognise the cultural significance of the goat, a piece by the renowned British artist Banksy, and appreciate the community’s interest in and affection for the artwork.”
