I love the complexity and cultural significance of the work by Wole Lagunju. The fusion of Western influences with symbolic representations and depictions of objects from his Yoruba community in Africa gives a depth to his work that is difficult to take your eyes away from.

I also adore how Mickalene Thomas uses her work to celebrate female beauty and power. She asks us to reflect on the way in which we view gender and identity and how this is informed by the way in which people of different identities and backgrounds are presented in popular culture.

The 'Game Changers' group show. I wish I had been with Hang-Up at the time to see the incredible exhibition showcasing work from six such innovative female artists.

As much as I always enjoy being surrounded by such fabulous art, the wonderful team at Hang-Up is what makes the job so enjoyable.

Meeting with Patrick Hughes and being shown around his fantastic studio was remarkable. Not only was seeing the process of making his famous reverspective works remarkable, but Patrick and his team were so kind and welcoming.
